Clever Club

CLEVER stands for Character, Leadership, Education, Values, Effort and Results.

C.L.E.V.E.R. Clubs

NLI hopes to set up Clever Clubs (focused on values & education) in secondary schools. Student Prefects, Teachers and Principals will be trained by NLI.  They will then be equipped with a Clever Club programme and lessons.  The Clubs will motivate students to perform well in exams and also pursue community projects.

Notes2Note

This is an animated DVD on the history of Nigeria and values , using Naira notes as illustration.  The Naira notes explain the importance of values over financial gain and emphasise the values embodied by the founding fathers.

The narration for the 30 minute documentary was performed by the following Nigerian celebrities: MI, Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, BOUQUI, TY Bello, Aisha Augie Kutta, Omawumi, RoofTop MCs, C-Flow and Sasha.

The project will launch with a video premiere screening at a Lagos cinema to generate awareness. Transportation will be provided for invited local secondary school students.   NLI will then organize DVD screenings at 25 secondary schools nationally. This will be followed by an online distribution campaign using websites, social networks and online videos.

Wordslam

To celebrate Nigeria’s 50th Anniversary, young Nigerians aged 10 to 16 are being asked to develop spoken word pieces, using 4 of NLI’s 10 values.   The best 10 entries will be published.  The writer of the best piece will have the opportunity to work with some of Nigeria’s biggest artists, and have their words produced into a song.  We are proud to have the following artistes on board: MI, BOUQUI, TY Bello, Omawumi, RoofTop MCs and Dare-Art Alade.
