PROJECT STATUS INPUT/CONTRIBUTIONS
Stand Up Naija

A series of impactful videos are being developed which highlight the expectations for the elections of average Nigerians in each state of the federation.  The videos also highlight the issues they will like the incoming administration to address nationally & on a state-by-state basis

A grassroots election education campaign is also in the works.

Individuals with documentary/ film production, demographics research and analysis skills are required who will like to make pro bono contributions

Fundraising support is required

CLEVER

CLEVER stands for Character, Leadership, Education, Values, Effort & Results.  The Clever Projects are a collection of youth focused programmes.  They are: Notes2Note  (One in a Series of Animated Videos on Values), Word Slam (Lyrical & Song Development Competition), Clever Clubs (Civics Education for Children via Extra-Curricular Clubs in Secondary Schools) and A Cartoon Project (Values-Based Cartoon Strips)

Notes2Note: Notes2Note has been successfully launched, generating immense media and web mileage.  A meeting is planned with the Ministries of Information & Communication and Education to seek endorsement and partnership Fundraising support

Institutional support

Wordslam: This lyrical and song development project is at the call-for-entry stage. 10,000 fliers have been printed and are currently being distributed in Secondary Schools across Nigeria.  Radio, Television and online adverts have been created.  The competition has been extended Support for media placement of adverts

Support for the production of the music video and poetry book extensions

Clever Clubs: A civics curriculum has been developed, and a pilot extracurricular club has been set up at Ahmadu Ribadu College, Adamawa State. Support for the replication of training kits and training of trainers

Cartoon Project Ten episodes have been written and initial designs have been created. 54 insertions have been donated by NEXT Newspapers.  Plans are in progress to adapt the strips to other media – TV and Web – to increase mileage Brand sponsor for the 54-week campaign to ensure sustainability

Broadcast support for TV adaptation

SGB Network

The SGB Network is a programme where NLI Associates partner with Government’s entrepreneurship scheme (and other credible partners) to provide a network of skilled business professionals who offer technical services to entrepreneurs.  Associates will provide specific technical services e.g. Business plan development, website design etc.

Implementation partners have been identified.

A pilot is scheduled for October, 2010, using the NLI October FL Class.
