Safiya Musa is an accomplished finance and banking industry professional with strong track records of sales, marketing, and customer and public interface accomplishments. She has obtained good repeatable results in a number of corporate positions and in operational branches, implementing corporate and government guidelines, developing customer base, selling new products, meeting customer needs while helping to build a strong corporate reputation. Her recognized leadership potential earned her a nomination as a Next Level Leadership Partner (a cohort of young professionals being developed for leadership assignments), as well as one of the Mentors in First Bank of Nigeria.Safiya is currently the Chief Representative Officer, International Banking at First Bank Nigeria Ltd. Abu Dhabi Rep. Office UAE where she provides strategic leadership and overall guidance and direction in the execution of the functions of the representative office. She is Responsible for promoting and increasing the Bank's visibility in the UAE, and also identifying business opportunities that will result in growth and income for the banking Group. She also establishes business plans, manages and maintains relationships with relevant regulators in the host country and ensures full compliance with regulators (Central Bank, Tax Authority, Registrars, Chamber of Commerce, and Stock Exchange).Safiya is passionate about youth and community development. As part of FirstBank's CSR, she anchored a Campus Campaign with Career Management of HCMD where 250 undergraduates of the University of Port Harcourt were trained. Together with her friends, she set up an NGO called AFFECT which focuses on Education and Health Care for the less privileged. She is also a member of the First bank of Nigeria Employee Volunteering Scheme (EVS).Safiya is an avid reader and writer and also enjoys travelling, and sports.
