Cyril Azobu

Cyril Azobu is a Petroleum, Power and Mining specialist with experience spanning over 19 years covering business advisory, consulting, accounting, external and internal auditing, and taxation services for companies both within the public and private sectors of Nigeria. He is a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Nigeria and currently leads the Firm's Mining Sector Group. He has led the audits of and/or provision of other professional services to Major Energy companies and government agencies in Nigeria, some of which include: ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, Eni, NNPC, Nigeria LNG, Oando, General Electric, Ministry of Petroleum Resources etc. He led the PwC expert commentary on the Roadmap for the development of the Nigerian solid minerals and mining sector and has continued to lead the Firm's collaborative efforts with the Ministry towards the development of the Sector.Cyril is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is also a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development. He participated in the development of the roadmap for the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in Nigeria and actively supports the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, as well as industry, on the implementation thereof.Cyril is passionate about leadership development, particularly among youths, and has led a number of leadership development initiatives, including training and mentoring. He is a member of the Advisory Board to AIESEC Nigeria, an international not for profit organization that provides young people with leadership opportunities to develop themselves into global leaders.He holds a Master's degree in Botany from the University of Lagos Nigeria and a Doctorate in Church Administration and Management (Honoris Causa) from the Melchisedec (Graduate) Bible Academy. He is a public speaker, a congregational leader and a singer.
