Yewande Adewusi is a strategy and mobile financial services specialist and keen advocate of financial inclusion. Yewande has over twelve years of experience in a variety of strategy, marketing and business development roles in financial services, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals. She currently leads the Mobile Financial Services Unit at Airtel Networks, Nigeria. At Airtel, her focus is on the development of strategic partnerships with financial services providers as a means of achieving sustainable access to innovative financial services through mobile technology in Nigeria.Prior to this, she worked as Program Manager/ Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Enhancing Financial Innovation & Access (EFInA), a Department for International Development (DFID) and a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funded Financial Inclusion Program managing the Innovation Fund. She also gained expertise in corporate and marketing strategy development while working as an Analyst with United Bank for Africa.Yewande has been a proponent of Financial Inclusion and the development of digital financial services Nigeria. She has served as a subject matter expert in roundtable discussions with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC). She is member of the Central Bank of Nigeria Payments Working Group and was a contributor to the development of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy.She is keenly interested in public speaking, cooking and singing.
