Gimba Mohammed Head, Public Sector and Education Sales Team, MainOne. He is an exceptional team leader and proven Sales Manager who had led teams across different industries. From his early professional sales career days at NIKKO International to Nigerian Bottling Company where he led large teams and received so many good recommendations. At Globacom Limited, he won “Best National Sales Performer of the year 2009” for Business Solutions. He was also a key figure in the launch and sales of Blackberry Enterprise Solutions in the northern region of Nigeria.
He is a graduate of Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where his research focused on “power shift between North and South”, relevant to the prevailing Socio-Political realities of Nigeria at that time. His research added to other numerous Nigerians who agitated for a balanced polity where every sociopolitical and ethnic group that made up Nigeria have a sense of belonging and the resultant return to Democracy in 1999.
He was the pioneer Regional Enterprise Sales Manager for Business to Business segment of Corporate Leased Circuits and Bandwidth Solutions for Bharti Airtel in Northern Nigeria. Gimba won the “Best Sales Manager” of year 2014 within the first 11 months of joining MainOne. He has represented MainOne credibly both within and outside Nigeria including the recently concluded World Telecoms Weeks in Chicago this year.
Gimba is very social, passionate about team goals and able to express his view freely at all times. He enjoys watching sports and spending lots of time with his family.
