The May 2008 NLI/World Bank Rwanda Leadership Initiative Workshop

On May 30, 2008, NLI collaborated with the World Bank to help start up a Leadership Initiative in Kigali Serena Hotel, Rwanda. The Rwanda Leadership Initiative (RLI) will be a locally organised initiative that aims at promoting values-based leadership among Rwandans. Two events (both sponsored by the World Bank) were held in 2008 to support the development of RLI. The first was a Workshop held in May and the second was a Capacity-Building Seminar help in September. Senior Leader Fellows from NLI facilitated the two events and engaged participants in needs assessment, planning and a proposed design structure of the RLI. The programs were attended by Rwandan Leaders from the Rwanda public, private and civil society sectors.
