Pillar I “Schools” Initiative

 

National Prize for Schools, NLI’s Prize will fund prizes for students who exhibit NLI core values.  Schools from six geo-political zones of the country are being signed up to participate in this initiative.  Only secondary schools who have included the teaching of values, national history and civic education in the curriculum will qualify to participate in the program.  Stanbic IBTC will sponsor NLI’s Prize for Schools; the bank will fund prizes for students who exhibit NLI core values.  Schools from the six geo-political zones of the country are being signed up to participate in this initiative.  Only secondary schools who have included the teaching of values, national history and civic education in the curriculum will qualify to participate in the program.

 

Pillar II “Public Appeals” Initiative

 

NLI has written articles on values and four Nigerian newspapers (THISDAY, Guardian, NEXT and Daily Trust) will carry these articles. Please stay tuned for links to the articles.

We have launched our 8 month national radio campaign which will include a 2 minutes comment about our core values. Already, we have Dr. Christopher Kolade speaking on Integrity and Discipline. This radio advertisement started playing on Monday, May 18, 2009 on Nigeria’s Cool FM 96.9 and 95.1Wazobia FM. Other lined up speakers include Chief Emeka Anyaoku on Industry, Maryam Uwais on Family Values and Justice & Equity, and Mr Akintola Williams.

 

Pillar III “Community Service” Initiative

  

NLI has partnered with First Bank Nigeria on a Community Service outreach program. More information of this initiative will be shared soon.

 

Pillar IV “Key Stakeholder” Initiative

NLI will engage civic organizations like churches in promoting values. More details coming soon.
